Default Dove Tail Front Sight on CT40

I did a search, I want to replace the plastic FS with a Tritium Big Dot, w dove tail. IS this a common thing?

XS used to offer a version of the Big Dot that was pinned in for "C" series Kahr pistols, but it's my understanding that it has been discontinued.
Taking that as true, you will need to have a dovetail milled into the front of your CT40 for installation of a Big Dot.

Mill the slide. May not be "common" but done often enough.

Thanks. The hardest thing is finding someone who'll actually do it. I called XS and they just got off the shot show, so they said 9-12 weeks. I called all the gun shops and even machine shops around, but nope. One machine shop did tell me that when they do it, it ruins the finish, so the slide has to be refinished(good scoop). I finally found this place, about 30 miles from me, that'll do it. They also do engraving and cerekote, so I decided to have the Eagle, Globe and Anchor engraved on top and a Ti distressed coat and their turn around is 4 weeks. Pics to follow. https://www.ptarms.com/

Couple of places here in my area but not local to you. One is the Trijicon factory authorized sight installation shop. Friend had his 92 done there, perfect job.

Thanks, I have the slide in the shop. I found a place close by https://www.ptarms.com/ The thing about the big guys is the LOOONG turn around time...lol I called XS and they said 9-12 weeks. These guys will do it in a fraction of that time. Plus if something's wrong, I can take it right back to 'em. The thing I was wondering if other folks have done it, 'cause if you look at the K, T, P series, that have the dove tail, the slide is squared off, this CT is tapered, so i have to see where they want to actually mill it.
