Thread: Light gun grease on rails?

Default Light gun grease on rails?

I have PM9. I put tw25 light grease on the slide rails. I have been told it reduces wear because of friction on metal to metal slide and frame, ie: Sigs. Will this make a difference with a PM9?

I use light grease on the rails of all of my firearms. It stays put a lot longer than oil, and seems to work just fine. Polymer or otherwise.

I also use tw25 on all my guns, have for a long time. I think Ole Jocko's the one that turned me onto that procedure, so just after Moses brought down the tablets I reckon.

For the past 10 years or so, I've used a synthetic grease called Superlube. Stays in place, never had any problems. Remove the old with a separate Q-tip before applying a new dab with a Q-tip. You can get the stuff at just about any hardware or auto parts shop. A tube lasts a year or more.

Tw25b is great stuff. Works well on any pistol.

An 8 ounce jar would last about 400 years. A small tube is all you need.

I use ALG 000 thin grease. It's a non petroleum extremely slippery grease.

I use a model car paint brush and lightly lube the rails on all my carry guns. Doesn't run, good -45F to +450F. A little dab will do ya.
