    Question BFR 45/410 question

    Hello All,

I’m new to the group so please forgive me if I am incorrectly posting my question. I’ve read in many internet comments that the MR BFR in 45 LC/ 410 model comes with a choke that must be removed before firing the 45 LC yet I just purchased a never fired non vented rib version 5” model from an individual that clearly states 45LC/ 410 on the barrel and is not threaded for a screw in choke. For pure safety reasons I even had my gunsmith verify that there’s no way it could take a choke. Have you heard of this non threaded model? I figured someone in this particular group would know the answer.

    Thanks

I've no hands on experience with the model, but the there was a 5.25" barreled BFR in .45 Colt/.410 called "The Hammer". It did not have a choke.
Here's a screen shot of a Wayback Machine crawl from 2012 (last one they have for it):
