Thanks. The trigger on this one is super smooth. Best of any I’ve bought. I don’t think I’ll have to do any polishing on this one. It should break in real nice I’m thinking.

Not to worry, normal is a cycle on a washing machine, nothing more....Guns are like Girl Scout cookies, just when you are about to eat that last one and you say no more the door bell rings....Buy them all before somebody else does, same with guns...

True story and and I thought it was funny. Gun was delivered to my regular FFL today. I knew it was arriving today because I watch the interweb when I know something is coming (FFL knows I do that) and I usually work from home but had gone to the office for a bit to help clear up a problem.

Well, my FFL calls the house and ask for me. Wife answers and tells him I went to the office for a bit and she asked if He wanted to leave a message. He says sure, this is Jim at uh, uh, Patriot Guns and uh, uh, your husband has a package here and uh, uh, he can pick up any time uh, uh, today, tomorrow, next week, next year, just whenever. Wife says OK I’ll tell him.

Well 10 minutes later I walk into the shop. He immediately starts apologizing for spilling the beans. I said what do you mean? He said I screwed up and just told your wife you had a package here and I try not tell wives there were deliveries here because what happens in the gun shop stays in the gun shop and many times they don’t know. He said I should have put my cell number on the invoice. He thought I lied to the wife about going to the office when I was really going to pick up my gun and I was doomed. Cracked me up. I told him she knew and I could guaranteed she would buy something of equal or greater value. I told him the only one I’d have to hide would be another CZ if he had one I wanted in the shop.

Moral of the story I figured out today is this: When you order a gun online many times there is a box for “special instructions”. That box is where you’re suppose to put instructions like “Jim, don’t call my house when you get this. My wife doesn’t know. I’ll watch Fedex tracking and will come get it.”

    That's funny!

The trigger on mine was OK, but I like the pistol enough that I put some coin into it during the black Friday sales last year. It now sports a Cajun Gun Works pro package kit and DPM Systems recoil springs/guide rod (thanks MB!). The install was not that difficult and after using them for a while, I feel both are significant upgrades. My buddy commented that he felt the Phantom's trigger is slightly better than the CZ Custom trigger job that was done on his SP-01 Tactical. He has since ordered and installed the DPM System in his SP-01 and SIG P226 MK25.
Not much difference externally, mostly the hammer shape and straighter trigger:

I also put the trigger in my 75B (it had a similar trigger, but I wanted one with an over travel stop),

    Greg

Nice. I need to call CGW because I was looking at their site and I didn’t see which specific floating trigger pin to use (I did read that I’d need to measure mine to see if it was 2 or 2 1/2 mm) but I’d like to get the replacement trigger pin and that trigger you have. It’s on my to do list along with doing the same thing to my SP-01 Tactical. I added it to my RAMI and it’s a completely different pistol. Super nice.

    Thanks!

Here's the note they have posted with the Phantom kit I bought:

"NOTE: Some earlier Phantoms use a different diameter trigger pivot pin (pin in the frame that holds the trigger in place) of 2mm’s. All newer Phantoms (manufactured in 2016 and up) use a larger trigger pivot pin diameter of 2.5mm’s."

I have a post 2016 Phantom and the pin from the kit worked perfectly. Here's the pin that came in the kit: https://cajungunworks.com/product/30...g-trigger-pin/

    Greg

Awesome. That’s the one for the Canik and I have one of those I can try. Mine is a 2017 model Phantom so I think that should be it.

I did get to go out for some shooting. The 25m factory test target in the box was about a 1 1/2 group with S&B ammo so I was encouraged and S&B is what I buy in bulk. When I got to the range I found the only limitations were the shooter and not the gun. Just incredible.
