The carrier design is kind of outdated--no MOLLE. That being said, the price is excellent just for the ceramic plates. It would be worth buying just for the plates.

    Unfortunately someone bought one.
The good news: The carrier appeared brand new.
The bad news: Looks like the plates are Level III steel (not ceramic).
    Hence the 19 lbs weight.
Not the great deal I thought I was getting.
But it's still a Level III tactical vest

    Ok the vest has arrived.
It's a LE LNIB tactical carrier vest with class III steel plates.
    OMG this thing is heavy.
And just 2 plates, front and back, no wraparound.
My NIB LE class IIIa Kevlar is full wraparound flexible and light.
A 5.56 will blow through it though...

    Guess I'm happy...
But maybe I should of went with ceramic?

Either way it's class III and If I run my IIIA vest under it - what class is that?
And how often do folks face real rifle AP ammo anyway (Class 4)?
    I'm just saying...

    Cool Armageddon

    It's heavy for sure.
Good to have and not good to wear.
Like my LE Kevlar Class IIIa vest much better.
But 5.56/7.62 will shred that vest...

    This is my Armageddon vest

I have no use for one of these. I would never use it.

I have one in my van dept issued. It's required if I go to the range. I haven't been to the dept range in years so I don't wear it much.

I tried awhile back to get my hands on our expired ones to give to anybody here that wanted one but they were quite adamant they did not support that idea. Didn't think it was all that big a deal but guess it is to them.

How can the site advertise ceramic plates yet send out steel plates???

As an aside, the vest I wore in Iraq felt like it weighed much more than 19 lbs. and it did have ceramic plates.
