Default Vintage Speed Six followed me home.

I've been on the look out for a snub nosed .357. Mostly looking at S&W's but not finding anything. Chanced upon this at my local indoor range. The engraving was not a factor. The trigger was. Best Ruger Trigger I've ever experienced. Who ever did the engraving, must have had the trigger work done too. The range let me shoot it before I bought it, IMHO this is the perfect .357 carry pistol.

That's really nice! Strange that it's only engraved on one side. Kind of nice you can wear it on the left side for BBQ's and such and on the right side for every day.

    Great idea.

    Seriously, nice gun.

Agreed that those are the best .357 wheel guns for concealed totin’. Not much larger than an SP101 and with 6 rounds.

Nice gun, very nice. I had a few Speed/Security Six revolvers back in the late '70's and they were great guns.

My dad has either a Speed Six or Security Six (vintage).
    Don't remember which.
But it has a glassy Smith like trigger and is build like a tank.

The speed I owned had an excellent trigger. It can be duplicated in others with spring changes and some polishing. The wife's Ruger is very close.

Yep, a spring change is pretty easy in these and a little polishing does help. I also replaced the service grips on mine with a set of modified Herrett's Shooting Stars.
