    Default L5 barrel failure

    Hi everyone, first post.
I’ve not long purchased a new L5 dessert eagle in 44 mag.
with less than 200 rounds of ppu ammunition through it I have encountered
    a barrel failure.
it has split down both sides where the flutes have been machined in. It seems painfully thin there.
has anyone else encountered barrel problems with these?
    any feedback much appreciated

Would it be possible to upload some images? I would like to inspect them. I am sure Magnum Research will want to see it of course, and replace it immediately.
With that said, PPU is a fairly hot loading in 44Magnum, but not too close to a maximum loading such as Underwood and Buffalo Bore.

Desert Eagle barrel failures are almost unheard of, so I would guess there was a machining issue, but that is pure speculation of course.

I am curious about this for sure.

I don't see an image, just a broken image link indicator. Not sure what happened. Thank you for trying that.

Hmm... still no image for me. I tried mobile and another computer and still aren't getting images.
    Thank you for trying again.
I sent you a private message. Have a look if you get the chance please.
