Thread: P45 trigger guard pinch

  1. #1

    Question P45 trigger guard pinch

I love Kahr triggers. I shoot my PM9 with smooth ease. However, I recently acquired a Kahr P45. I am not sure why, but when I shoot about a hundred rounds, every time, I go to the range, I notice a small sore area on the right side of my trigger finger (I am right handed too) on the first digit. This side rest next to the middle finger. I have large hands with average length fingers. I am guessing I am wrapping too much finger on trigger, and my finger gets pinched during recoil with the bottom of the trigger and trigger guard. Has this happened with any other p45, or cw45 owners. How can I keep fro getting pinched? Thanks.

Seems like I've heard of this before but it was long ago. I don't recall what the fix was. I'll dig around, maybe I can find the thread.

I had that pinch on my PM40, some fine sandpaper used on the tip of the trigger fixed it just fine! All that is needed is to break the sharp edge, that is the pinch!

    I had a CW45 I sold (wish I still had it).
    And I have a CW380.

I had same problem, but it was not a pinch- which if that's what it was, I would think you would OUCH when it happened. (although everyone's fingers are different).

For me, it was the mold line in the plastic. It rubbed me exactly where you described.

On the inside of the trigger guard.... on the top of the bottom side, there is a little line that runs down the center of the plastic and it is raised ever so slightly.
    I sanded that smooth.

    Problem gone.
