The small 9mm market is very crowded. Sig really pee'd in the competitions Wheaties with the P365. Not being a fan of split triggers I have no interest in the Kimber.

Yeah, but now you can have both. The single action is really nice too.

These are currently street priced less than the Kimber EVO and are available. While not striker fired, they are probably a more cost effective option.

Both those are nice shooters but the fact they need to be carried cocked and locked makes for the potential of snagging the hammer on clothing takes them out of the running for me.
Full framed 1911's fine, the tiny ones look like an accident waiting to happen.

That EVO price.... For what you get?, Ugggggg..... JMHO.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I agree. I'm of course fine with a 1911, even down to officer size, but the micros I find quite scary.

Getting older and knowing my heirs are not firearm fanatics but they do appreciate an easy to operate revolver. I have culled the herd a bit and my last 1911 sold was an Ed Brown Cobra Karry with the knowledge the cleaning and maintenance being far more difficult than my Kahr or Sig semi's is better off in the hands of someone who appreciates the quality of that firearm.
    Getting older and more pragmatic.
