    Go back before the C series. P denoted polymer. PM polymer micro, P polymer as p380, p9, p40, p45. T denotes 4 barrel, k 3.5 barrel both steel frame, MK micro Kahr, CW carry weapon. After the C some of the prefixes morphed into a different designation

    Please make corrections.

    This makes sense. It does seem like things changed when the value series came out.

    I believe the K9 was the first Kahr

    That's correct. The K9 was the original Kahr. It was a revolutionary product when it was introduced. Then when the P9 hit the market, there was nothing like it on the market. It beat the G43 to market by 20 years...
