Default Today was "target pistol" day

I have two pistols which are technically "target" models---a G17L I built, and my T9. The G17L has a longer barrel, a longer sight radius, and sports Heinie Straight Eight target sights. Thin front sight really helps at 15 yards or further. My T9 is equipped with Trijicon 3 dot night sights(I wish I'd been able to find the model with the MMC target sights). At 15 yards, my sight blade obscures the entire head of a B17 25 yard silhouette target, so MY accuracy suffers with it at that distance.

But at 10 yards, the thing is a tack driver. Realistically at that distance it's no more accurate than my MK9 or my CM9---but the T9 is such a pleasure to shoot for longer duration because it is heavier. I usually shoot 115 grain WWB out of it so the recoil isn't bad at all.

If you are on the fence about buying a T9, don't be. It's still easily concealed, but the accuracy is fantastic.

I think that was 40 or so. The T9 is just so easy to shoot....

It is. T means target. TP means "Target Polymer". Range has a CT45 in the used section for a really good price. It's very tempting.

So does CT mean “could be target”, “can be target”, “can’t be target”, “cheaper target”?

The "C" just denotes the Value Line. Would be funny if it just means "cheaper".

CM does denote cheaper as in Cheaper Manufacturing and CW denotes Carry Weapon

    I think:

    C denotes value line
    P denotes premium line

M, W and T refer to the size of the frame/barrel from smallest to largest.

muggsy: Let's face it, being shot by a .380 will ruin anyone's day.
