Default Grandson wants to get into Heavy Metal

No, not the noise they call rock music these days, but real metals...... as in metallurgy. So his dad gave him this little working foundry (2,000 degree capability) for his 16th birthday. Am glad the young man has an interest in something besides pop culture. His GGgrandfather was a blacksmith by trade in the late 1800s, so it might be in his genes.

    That will be fun.

Pattern making will be the key for serious fun.

I just hope he doesn’t burn their property down.

Nice That puppy could probably be sat on it's side for use as a small forge. Get that young man an anvil (or section of RR rail) and some hammers!

Already have a small anvil cut from a RR rail. Yes, will let him have it. His dad is in the house renovation business, so they have a bunch of hammers of all types.

Depends on the metal he's smelting I guess.
