    Default Seattle is Dying?

Get yourself a cup of coffee and a snack and watch this video. I hate to see this, to me it will always be the Emerald City, a place I want to get back to and live.

I'll have to watch the whole thing when I get the time. I was stationed there in the mid 90's and it is a shame what has happened there. I'm curious as to what the film is going to say the cause of the downfall is. I doubt they'll put the blame where it is deserved.

It's been circling the drain for 20+ years. I hate the thought of going there for any reason.

Just wrong side of the mountains is mostly the reason. California migration. Overdose of liberals.

Great link and story. Thank you. I forwarded it to my elected officials and asked them if this is what we are striving for here in the Twin Cities.

It's the whole dang country, not just Seattle. We just don't want to admit it.

Seatle, Portland, Minneapolis, much of Colorado are all committing slow suicide by progressivism. The fine folks in CA started this mess and much of the population that refused to pay the taxes in CA moved to other cities, Unfortunately, they brought their politics with them and now you have this mess.
Today it is cool to be a progressive running for office. Look at the idiots like Alexandria Occasional Cortex that actually interviewed for her job by a group seeking the perfect candidate that would attract the most votes regardless of their intelligence or Ilhan Omar whose gerrymandered district in MN has over 100,000 Somalis (thanks obama). We could go on but suffice to say, the
America as most of us grew up in is changing.

Good luck with all that. You and I both live in a state that is following WA and OR as fast as it can. Not to mention the governor that is a whole other topic.

It’s happening in small towns too. Eureka CA is a nice friendly town, but now days if you drive through on Hwy 101 you’d think who would want to live here? The “progressives” dominate and efforts to grow the local economy are resisted in favor of more marshes, government owned land, trails and things that attract the homeless. When you’re going in the wrong direction isn’t the most progressive to do is turn around and reverse direction until you’re back on track?

My tinfoil hat may be too tight, but I believe that a lot of this has Russia behind it, doing their best to defeat us from within. May have started with the communist subjugation of Greenpeace. Knowing that the US could not be invaded and defeated, with the fall of the USSR the game plan became to defeat us from within, and enlisting the mindless minions of progressivism to do it for them.

And it may be working. Our next presidential election may be a telling point. Could any US citizen over the age of 40 or 45 ever have envisioned admitted socialists in the US Congress?

    Just my $.02
