Thread: Took my PM9 to the Range

Default Took my PM9 to the Range

I bought this PM9 in 2009 for every day pocket carry. Carry it every day I did until 2017, when I switched to a Glock 23 inside the waistband.

I haven’t shot the PM9 since then until today.

Here’s 50 rounds at 10 yards on a target on standard printer paper.

By the way, this Kahr has never had a single failure of any kind.

How do we know that is really 50 shots?

Shooting like that, I don't think I'd question it's authenticity. I started to mention that I thought a saw pencil lead around some of the hole but caught myself, smack my finger with a ball peen hammer so I didn't bring punishment on myself.

I have to go with good shooting.

I’m not good enough to space them all out so you can count them.

The little pistol is as inherently accurate as anything I have. It just takes a little longer to get through a box of ammo with the long reset. That may be a good thing. It forces me to concentrate more.

I’ve tried many 9mm subcompacts, but have never found a pocket gun that I liked more than my PM9. Either the others are too large, unreliable, quirky triggers or safety switches,... Nothing beat my Kahr.

I’m a Glock guy, but the 43 is just too big for my pocket carry taste.

That said, I am going to get a P365 and give it a shot. 10 round flush mags are an unbelievable feature

I picked up a PM9 in February. Buds in KY had a smoking hot deal, $398, which has expired now. I have taken it to the range twice so far and put a little over 450 rounds through it without a single failure of any kind. I know Kahr recommends a 400 round break in but in my case it has been flawless since the first round. I have had a MK40 since 2000 and it has been flawless since round one as well. I love these pistols. I pocket carry the PM9 and it’s great. The MK is too heavy for pocket carry so I really like the PM9 for that carry method.
