Default I'm curious what is the going price for a PM40

Of course, I have to pay California prices which are often higher.

Since I already bought the gun, it really doesn't matter -- but I'm wondering about prices in "free" states.

I bought it at a brand new LGS just opened.

The price tag said $799 which seemed way too high. But the sales guy said there were some sale items and the sale prices hadn't been posted yet.

So I asked him to go look and see if the PM40 as on sale.

He came back and said it was on sale for $429.

    I said I'll take it.

Paid $500 for my black\black NIB PM40. Bought it in Turlock from my favorite LGS in 2017. Had them throw in a box of Winchester with it. There was a mail in offer for free mag too.

It depends on the version. Some have Trijicon night sights installed and some don't. I think I got a pretty good price on mine last year at $335, with the Trijicon sights. The prices I'm seeing on new PM40s right now look like about $350 without the night sights and $550 with them.

    Mine has the night sights.

Just got back from nearly a month of travel and just picked it up from the LGS today.

BTW, I tried racking the slide and it's not bad.

Harder than my Glock 27 or my Sig P238, but not a problem.

Not sure what make of all the fuss about the slide being hard to rack.

Maybe mine is easier than most for some reason.

For a California price I’d say that wasn’t too bad.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

PM's used to be close to $600 everywhere. Then over the last 18 months or so, the prices have really dropped. I could buy two PM45's now, for the price I bought mine for.

Yup, me too. A second PM45 might be kind of nice, wonder if they would get jealous of each other. Long as I carried both they'd probably get along?

I’ve thought about a second pm45 or tp45 myself. But just ordered a AR pistol kit (always wanted one) so maybe next month....

I'd say it takes a bit more effort to rack than many pistols of its size but I'm sure that's part of why it isn't as snappy as those others. To me it's surprisingly smooth for a pocket sized 40.
