I'm having an issue with a replacement barrel in a 1987 Hi Power Mk II. The new barrel appears identical in every way with the original, but when putting the side back on I can't get it to move back to the takedown notch.

Hope one comes along. I have a very early Hi Power I'm trying to identify and sort out.

Thanks, I did try there.
Sounds like an issue related to the recoil spring guide not seating.
Don't know about Hi Powers, but with my Sigs barrel has almost always needed fitting. A slight amount of filling is usually all it has taken.

I resolved it with a slight easing of the bottom of the feed ramp.
Nice fix sir!
