    Default Hello from Bangkok, Thailand

    Hi,

It took me almost a year after I got my 1st Kahr, a P380, to be here.
I just made the membership registration 15 min ago.

Welcome Lone Wolf, glad you found us. I imagine lots of things are tough to get in Thailand.

    Hi, LW.
Do a lot of people shoot in Thailand? Is it mostly for recreation? Self defense?
    Welcome to the group.

Not much if compared to the US.
Some few are gun enthusiasts and shoot for recreation. Most of the gun owners keep their gun at home for defense.
Thailand is in South East Asia. In these eastern parts of Asia I think only The Philippines and Thailand allow their citizens to own gun for self defense.

Welcome. I watched a program about the shooting sports in Thailand a year or so ago. From what I remember a firearm is a lot more expensive there compared to the USA.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Yes, it is much more expensive.
I bought my P380 at about 2,900 US Dollars.

Lone Wolf, that's a LOT of money for a little old .380. Are there Caliber restrictions?

I know, officially Mexicans cannot own a "military" caliber, such as 9mm or .45ACP, that's why .38 Super is very popular in Mexico.

Dont feel bad about it. If the gun grabbers had their way here in the US we’d be paying the same price.
