Thread: CW45 Striker Damage

    Default CW45 Striker Damage

This is my first post, and only issue thus far. I was cleaning my weapon the other night and I found some significant marring on the back of the striker where the spacer touches it. Please see the pictures below:

My question is, is this normal wear or has a lack of oil caused this?

Never looked at mine that close. Is the first time you've had it out. I'm wondering if it didnt jus come that way. I don't know why it would, I don't see where it should cause any issue and doubt lack of lube would effect that piece.

I'll pull mine apart first chance I get and see what mine looks like.

I got she who must be obeyed duties right now and todays her birthday so guess I'll concede to her wishes.

    How many rounds?

I would send those pictures to Kahr.

5-600 rounds. You know I may be overreacting.. this is from their website:

Strikingly (pun!) similar. I may call them up just for peace of mind and we’ll see what they say.

It really looks like someone used a carbide burr grinder in the area. As well ground as the rest of the parts are I’m starting to think there might be a purpose.

I agree, I don't see any of the other pieces beat up or anything. Normally if something is taking a beating, whatever did the beating looks beat up too, not seeing that.

I was just looking at some pictures on my phone, when I noticed I had a picture of my CW9 striker. It has the same marks as yours does. Mine works just fine, no issues.
