Thread: Trigger Guard shape on different models

Default Trigger Guard shape on different models

I understand that the dimensions of the trigger guard area will likely differ:

    • between calibers (e.g. depending on caliber, as the frames are wider on .45 than on .45, which is likely wider than 9), or

    • between materials (I suspect small differences between metal versus polymer frames even if they're of the same caliber, e.g. between P9 and K9)

But what if caliber and material are the same? In other words, would one of those clip-on trigger-guard only "holsters" made to fit, say, a P9 also fit an MP9 9 and a T9?

Yes, I have a clip-on "sheath" that works on polymer 9s, polymer 45s, and steel 9s. It's flexible plastic, it'll conform to the slightly differing sizes. You can heat it and re-shape it if it's too tight, in case it's not quite right.

What I wish I could find is a "sheath" that you can shove away with your right thumb kind of like sweeping off a safety lever. That would make them even more useful.
