Hello everyone, its been a little while since I've had much to say but what is your opinion of OpticsPlanet?
I'd prefer personal opinion and not internet hearsay.
If you've dealt with them would you do it again?


They have an OpticsPlanet/Holosun exclusive 510C in FDE that I'd like to get for my Scorpion Evo S1
While I'm in no rush to get an optic and I do like the FDE they have - what I've read is that they can and do play the shell game of say its "in stock" and take weeks or months to actually produce what you paid for.


Just wondering if the group had any feedback.

I can only speak for myself but I will not deal with them again. I have never lost any money but getting them to ship promptly makes it not worth any savings they may offer.

I've ordered lots of stuff from them, both personal and department stuff and never had an issue.
Shipped promptly, never any run around.
I haven't ordered anything in the last 6 months or more so maybe something has changed but I've had no troubles.

I have had two experiences, one went great. The 2nd one, I ordered a "Black Friday" sale item. I did not get it by Christmas, took almost 6 weeks. Wasn't happy on that one. I think they oversold it.

So....normal items, no issues, ...........special item...long delivery.

Kinda my experience. Sometimes they (and their outlet offshoot D'Vor) are quick and simple. Other times, they teeter on the edge of ridiculousness.

This has been my experience also. Some good, some delayed. I don’t use them much any more. YMMV.

I've used Optics Planet and DVOR a bunch. They generally are accurate on their shipping times, at least to Denver. When I order something on-line, I'm very rarely in a hurry to get it anyway.

I spot-check their prices though. Although mostly a good deal, sometimes I've found the same items on Amazon or Midway for significantly less $$.

Spot checking is good, it's funny how places can vary on different stuff.
Sometimes the same company is selling on Amazon or other and it's cheaper there than direct????
