Thread: FrankenKahr - Best Method to DIY a Long Barrel PM9?

  1. #1

Question FrankenKahr - Best Method to DIY a Long Barrel PM9?

I'm planning to use extremely light for caliber copper bullets (65gr), and they love long barrels for that velocity boost.

I already have a 3.1" barrel PM9 and four (magguts upgraded) 6 and 7 round magazines for pocket carry, but would like a long barrel option for IWB carry during the cooler months when I'm wearing heavier clothing.

Does anyone know if you could just purchase a TP9 slide, recoil assembly, etc and a 4" ported or 4.5" threaded barrel and slap it on a PM9 grip?

If not, what is the best option to achieve a PM9 grip (to share magazines) with a long 4" or 4.5" barrel?

You could take something like an CT9 and do a grip chop on it to get a PM9 longslide equivalent. There a post about it around here. Let me look...
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Thanks, I left a message in that thread and will continue the conv. there. I tried Kahr as well, but won't be surprised if their customer service doesn't answer since its a weird question. A shame that it appears sanding the chopped grips can prove problematic, since they are serialized and so a mistake can be expensive.

Haven’t seen the other thread, what do you need?
