Default My new toy came in....

I can't wait to go out and play! My new toy came in. It is a Marlin 1894 Big Loop 357 magnum; I mounted a 4 power Leupold Scope using Warn Quick release rings :=]
I am planning action job and possibly having barrel threaded.

Always liked that size loop rather than the bigger versions myself. The stainless and laminate stock look terrific. Heck I even like the sling. I never warmed up to scopes on lever guns but some people say I'm lacking in some areas.

I really like the peep sights. From all the reviews I have read they are really good. The scope pops off real easy with the quick release levers. I figured I would sight it in at 75 yards and then remove the scope for when I want it.

Well now don't go a doing that based on nothing I say or do. Actually looking at your pictures several times it's starting to grow on me. There's enough difference between this and the old traditional thutty, thutty's that the scope don't seem quite so awkward or out of place.
The fact that it comes off fast and easy is a nice feature.
