    Default TRUGLO TFX Pro Sights

Now that I've (finally) found a way to comfortably use my MK9 as an EDC (knock wood!), I think it may be time to explore some sight options to replace the dimming nights sights on mine.

I've been intrigued by the TFX Pro sights for a while, as they seem to be the best of both worlds for daytime and nighttime. Pricey, but my MK9 is worth it.

But I want to make sure that they are going to fit. TRUGLO seems to list the Kahr pistols universally in their sizing charts, so am I to assume that Kahrs all accept the same sights? I'd hate to buy them and find that they require some smithing work be done to the MK9 to make them fit.

As long as you have the "new" style dovetail they should fit. So would their Tritium PRO sights.

Oh, oh...that may be a problem. My pistol was manufactured in 1998, if memory serves.

This thread shows the difference between the new and the old. Thanks once again to Greg for the pics.

Thanks, guys. I'll check tomorrow. Expecting bad news, though.

Looks like XS is still selling Big Dots for the old dovetails. I've liked those on the other pistols that sport them, but I would've preferred the TRUGLO setup.

So you determined you have the old style sight dovetails. I like the XS sights myself.

I stopped using the TFX Pro sights and now use the TFO. The vials are larger and the sights are brighter than the TFX and I don't miss the orange circle.

FYI, the TFX sights are considerably tougher. There were issues with breakage of the fiber (I don't think you can see the vials) in some cases with the TFO since it isn't as well supported.
