Default CM9 slide not locking back

I have 1500 rounds through my CM9 and it has recently (the last few hundred rounds or so) begun failing to lock back after the last round.

I have eight 9mm mags and six of the eight don't lock the CM9 slide back:

    - Two 6 round mags with stock follower and Lakeline billet +1: neither of them lock the CM9 back
    - Two 6 round mags with Magguts +1 kit: neither of them lock the CM9 slide back
    - Two 7 round mags with stock follower and Lakeline billet +1: both of them lock the slide back on the CM9 and P9
    - Two 7 round mags with Magguts +1 kit: both lock the slide back on the P9 but neither locks the slide back on my CM9

I swapped the slide release pin/lever between the P9 and CM9 and that did not change the lock back function.

Below is a pic of the slide stop spring in the CM9. It looks okay to me but does it look okay to you? Any ideas?

I'm not too concerned about this as I never carry a spare mag but am wondering what might be causing it? I was thinking weak mags springs in the 6 round mags with stock followers but the mag springs in the mags with Magguts kits are anything but weak.

The spring looks right to me. I'd put the slide lock pin in without the slide and insert an empty mag and see how the follower hits the slide lock lever. It may be that spring has to be turned down just a bit more.

Thanks. I’ll try that tomorrow and report back.

That slide lock spring looks to be alright, but I can't tell from the photo if it's bent inward at all.
How does the "locking" notch on the slide look? Any rounding of the bottom edge?
Can you lock the slide back by hand cycling with any of the six magazines (empty) in place?
How is the condition of the recoil spring assembly?

Default CM9 slide not locking back

    Made some progress.

    Troubleshooting:

    - Put the slide lock pin in without the slide and inserted a mag. The mag did engage the slide lock spring

    - The six problem mags do not lock back when hand cycling (unless of course I push up on the slide lock lever)

    - I don't think the locking notch is rounded but I posted a pic below

    - The slide lock pin was bent in, see photo below; I bent it parallel to the frame but slide would still not lock back when hand cycling

    - Popped in a new outer recoil spring and function did not change

    - I slightly bent the spring upward (the opposite of what Bawanna suggested?) and now when hand cycling the mags with stock followers lock back solidly while the Magguts mags lock back weakly (i.e. tap the slide and it goes into battery); should I have bent the spring a little downward instead? See photos of before and after below - my P9 spring looks like the after picture

The free end of the spring should be parallel to the frame. I'd bend it back that way.
Instead of bending the spring up, I suggest loosening the screw and re-positioning the spring leg.
Here's how the spring on my CW9 looks:

Thanks. My P9 looks like your picture and I see the difference between that and my CM9. I will adjust as you said but I gotta find a T5 Torx bit first.

Lowes, Home Depot, and Harbor Freight sell kits with T5 bits for about $8 or less.

May want to consider trying a factory new stock magazine ,when we alter mags, guns in any form it's a gamble.
