I'm not sure what enzymes are, I've been trying probiotics and all kinds of stuff, my digestive tract is messed up. Been to 3 gastro specialist and they write it off as IBS. Can't find anything wrong with xrays and invasive scopes from both ends. It's a nuisance and I'd pay large to be normal again, I really would.

My wife does, as after about a year of the docs trying to figure out what was wrong she was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. She was prescribed Creon and told to take a pill every time she eats, even if just a snack. It seems to work for her, as when she doesn't take a pill or forgets she has the same pain as before taking the pills.

From what the doc said, the pancreas produces an enzyme to help with digestion of food, or something to that effect. Her pancreas either doesn't make the enzyme anymore, or doesn't make nearly enough. So now she is a drug mule when we go out to eat, which hasn't happened in a few weeks and won't be happening for more than a few weeks more than likely.

My wife had a couple pancreatitis episodes, very painful and she spent a week or more in the hospital on both occasions. Shes been fine for over a year now, I don't know if she's taking any meds for it or not.

I've used Digest Gold, it worked for me. Also Yakult is a very good probiotic, one a day.
Another thing to try is adding psyllium husk fiber to your diet, not the powered one, mix it with water and a little OJ.
It helps to add yogurt to your diet.

Digestive problems take time to clear up, patience is required.

I've used the Digest but never really kept up a strict regimen. I did a lot of research and I'm going to try E3 enzymes. A lot more product for less $$$$$$$$ and still safe with no additives of any kind.

I am not a doctor and I have no idea why you are looking at enzymes, but that said..

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. The meds prescribed for it just made it worse.
I started a regimen of probiotics, fiber and Digest Gold, there was one other item but I can’t remember now exactly what. (I’d have to look it up)

Also eliminating sugary foods and overall starting a better diet. I started feeling better in a couple of months, but it took almost 2 years to completely clear it up.
A subsequent colonoscopy showed that it had cleared up completely.

In my case I found that keeping a strict regimen was very important.

I get plenty of fiber with fruits, and vegetables. I need to get away from the fruit juices and sugar and drink more water. Otherwise, I stay away from most sweets. My weakness is doughnuts. If I can't have a freiggen doughnut in my life, then take me now. I know my flora isn't in great shape, and I need to get on a regimen. It's tough...………...I was the guy who could eat the hottest Mexican food and love every minute of it. Now my diet is bland to say the least, and it's very hard to impart flavor in to foods. Got enzymes coming and have to find a probiotic. I'm having issues with gluten, dairy, spices, chicken, and I realize that the doughnut is a major player. I'm sure you realize how tough it is to change old habits and I love food. You take diets where you can eat anything, to eliminating 90% of what you used to eat.
