Beautiful pistol. Now I wish I'd seen the brochure it was mocking.

Bought my first pistol in 1982. Still have it. To think I didn't need all the ones that I've had and traded since then. Please don't tell my wife that.

Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

I don't think those are Nill grips. Maybe another wood than walnut. Nice even though.

Well I'll be jiggered, they are indeed Nill grips according to the story. Beautiful gun.

They command a substantial premium on the HK board. I'm not sure why that is. I know nothing about them, except that I don't really care for the looks of them. If I ever had one I'd probably love it given how many people find them very desirable. But when it comes to guns, for me and my own particular or maybe peculiar tastes, visual esthetics counts for a lot.

The only downfall I've heard was they get hot during long range sessions. Years ago my old favorite shop had one and the owner took it apart and showed me the workings. Definitely a different operating system but I liked it.
A local agency back then actually used them as an optional duty gun. Many loved them.
I've never shot one so no first hand experience but I want them all eventually so it's just one more on the list.
