I would be really surprised if, after shooting 357SIG from your P229, you will prefer to switch it to another caliber, cost of 357SIG ammo notwithstanding!

Sounds like you’ve some pretty versatile pistols with the 3 calibers set up!
Yes, I did look at the price of the ammo and it is a bit on the pricey side. May shoot it a bit once completed, but not much honestly as it will be a BBQ pistol. Looking forward to it though. You make it sound like something I’m gonna smile about

The last few times I've purchased 357SIG ammo were before the pandemic, when prices were not as painful as they are now. I purchase 125 gr. Speer GDLE 357SIG from Target Sports USA dot com. ~$25 per 50-rnd box sale price last time I purchased, IIRC. Free shipping if you order by the case (1,000 rnds). Price has not yet returned to the pre-pandemic rate.

I purchase the UW GD from Underwood Ammo dot com. Pre-pandemic price was ~$17 per 20 rnd box regular price, with 5- or 10% lower during sales. Like with Speer, UW prices are still higher now than pre-pandemic. I'm actually beginning to run low on the UW.

Prices for both are lower if you sign up (and pay for) for the respective membership. I do not have a membership with either.

Can't wait to hear your range report once you're up and running.

I've got twin P229s with OEM 357 and 40 barrels.
The 357 barrels stay in both guns

Starting to sound like the Sig forum around here. “Do do! Do do! Do do! Do do! Imagine a place…”
Nothing wrong with it, just noticing the Sig love is all. I’m in that group too!
