    Default Ct9

    I bought a brand new CT9. Went right to the range with it. Fired first shot, then dead trigger. Took mag out. Reloaded. Fired 1 shot and dead trigger. Does not jam and it does pick up the next round. But it's like the trigger reset is not functioning. Manually pulling the slide back will reset the trigger, but once it fires it does not reset. Had several others try to shoot and the problem is reproduceable. No one seems to have an idea. Any thoughts. I purchased a cw9 about 2 years ago, I nick named bbn it the jammomatic. About done with kahrs.

    Ideas???

    * Did you follow the advice in the Kahr Prep stickey?

    * Clean and lube it correctly before shooting?

    * Hand-cycle the slide a few hundred times while watching TV?

    --> All those would help.

    When you have a dead trigger can you push forward on the trigger and get it to reset? Id call Kahr and tell them your issue. They’ll likely send you a return label to send it to be fixed.

    Give Kahr a chance to fix it and you’ll love the CT9.
    The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

    Send both defective pistols to Kahr for repair. When they are returned sell or trade in both for something you would be happy with. Sometimes that is the best solution.

    Hopefully Master Greg will chime in soon with some troubleshooting suggestions. It seems weird for a new gun. How did Kahr not notice this when test firing?

    I did clean it, and I did rack the slide a bunch, but did not count. I called kahr today and I wad able to send them 2 videos of what's actually happening. While on the phone with them customer support. they watched both videos and said they will fix it and something is definstely wrong. I guess I was posting here First before calling customer support and rma, was hoping someone here had a quick fix. I'll keep everyone updated.

    Is there s way for me to post videos on here

    You can post a link to YouTube is the easiest way. That’s what I have done in the past. Glad they worked with you.

    You can post a video via postimage etc also I believe.
    In Memory of Paul "Dietrich" Stines.
    Dad: Say something nice to your cousin Shirley
    Dietrich: For a fat girl you sure don't sweat much.
    Cue sound of Head slap.
