To preserve the 5 year warranty I have also done nothing to the gun other than a light polish to feed ramp and chamber and only fired several brands of ball ammo. I tried all the suggestions that forum members responding to my original post mentioned and I also worked on the mags, checking spring orientation, polishing the lips and sanding the right side of the followers. Yesterday, somewhere around the 900 round mark, alternating my two mags with five rounds each time, I shot 60 rounds and it ran FLAWLESSLY! Finally the love is flowing and I hope it will continue. I have been shooting for six decades and have owned nine semi-auto pistols (five brands) and none of them has ever done anything other than work without a hitch. Was a 900 round break-in worth it? Short answer is yes b/c now I have confidence in it and I really like the gun. Long answer is I don't know b/c it seems that Kahr has perhaps overdone their tight tolerances, strength defying recoil springs, and due to that they might be holding themselves back from a far wider group of happy shooters. I belong to two gun clubs which have a combined membership of over 1100 members. I know of just one other guy who has a Kahr 9, and he wants to sell it. Thanks to all those who helped me. This forum is terrific.
