    Those look nice.

Bawanna sir do you still have some of that spalted maple left?

I am in need of a couple of sets of panels for grips. One for an SP101 and one for a GP 100.

I think I have plenty left over for that. I was gonna go out and see just what I have. I've had it for years, just could never use it until I did this stabilizing thing. Time to do up another batch.

Kind of anxious to see how the ones I've sent out hold up. If the break on recoil or anything bad. I'm optimistic they will be ok but one never knows.

That's a good looking 1911! Is that a Range Officer?

Yes, it is a Range Officer. I "lent" my Mil Spec to my brother a few years ago and have been waiting for him to return, so I ended up getting the RO to fill in.

I wasn't able to run some rounds through it yesterday as life got in the way, but I'll try tomorrow to test the grips.

I'm still more than proud of my Bawanna grip panel inserts on my SP-101 from several years ago. They've been carried 5-6 days per week and been subjected to all the nasties you can think of (working outdoors as a land surveyor) all that time. And thousands of rounds have been put through the bore since then. Still looking and feeling great. Thanks Boss!

Well, after watching the LSU-Missouri game, what better way to release some anger at a terrible defense (LSU) than to put a few rounds down range? Just got finished shooting a 100 rounds through my 1911 with Bawanna's grips on them. Two old stumps gave up the being to support this test of the grips. Afterwards, I pulled the grips off the frame and studied them under a magnifying glass. Very happy to report the grips held up with no signs of wear or cracking. Even though the grips are smooth, they never slipped once while shooting, unlike my Ruger New Model in .41 mag. Overall, this new process that Bawanna's has used to makes these grips is a complete success in my opinion. Outstanding looks, strength and no slipping in the hand. The temp is in the mid 70's here with very little humidity.
