My plan was always to get the Target (done) and then make or find a set of standard grips in case I decide to carry it. The Target grips are spectacular and I love the way they feel but not conducive for carry.

I see Hogue is offering Standard grips in several different woods now: https://www.hogueinc.com/grips/sig-s.../p210-american
Amorycraft has released their G10 versions: https://www.armorycraft.com/sig-p210
Grips4U has a set with a checkered back strap that I like: http://grips4u.net/category/pistol-g...210a-american/
Then there is this blasphemy (as posted here: http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc...5/m/5910076344 ):

Quick update: FedEx says it should be at my FFL by Monday. If the FFL can get it logged in time before they close, hopefully I can pick it up then. I’ve honestly never been this excited for a firearm
Also, any truth to the metal-framed Kahr’s, in particular the K9, having a better track record/overall reliability than their polymer framed brothers?
I'd say the metal has an overall better track record, I got nothing solid to back that up with but seems like less problems, course now days everybody wants tupperware, so anytime there's more of something you'll hear about it more.
On your gun transfer, you tell them to log it before closing or stuff it. I've been waiting forever to pick up my last acquisition. It's mostly county sheriffs fault for taking too long for back ground check but it's also when they sent a dozen at a time on the last day, the shops don't call timely. My current shop is notorious for bad communication. Times are crazy good for them now like most with all the panic buying, but they won't always be that way. Then just maybe they'll miss me.

Doing something like that calls for some serious jail time.....That's just horrible
[QUOTE=gb6491;420101]Just read a conversation on why some might choose the standard over the target, besides the couple hundred dollars difference. Centered on the rear sight and the grip. And is the P210A really a target gun?
I did take notice of the red dot adapter that was offered on one of the web sites you mentioned. I have a burris fastfire ll looking for a home. Hmmm. $100. Seems like a lot, but I guess you pay for functionality. I think I need to re-read this thread.
I would be interested in the loads your your friend has worked up for his nines. I got a few for my g48 and K9 that are ok and comfortable to shoot. I'm always amazed how the 135gr bullets recoil less (<1K fps) and seem to be the most accurate. I'm just a plinker and don't expect I'll ever have to shoot somebody.
Buds has the standard, too. In stock as of this afternoon.
And Happy Thanksgiving!
