Default New as in New York

Yes, that dictator ruled soviet socialist republic, New York. there are many of us still holding out. It's a beautiful place with thousands of lakes, thousands of miles of rivers, thousands of square miles of mountains and plains, with excellent hunting and fishing. It's not all commie pricks, concrete, and skyscrapers. I'm an old guy, VN veteran, retired. I make muzzleloading flintlock rifles and fowling guns along with associated accoutrements, but still keep my hand in the modern stuff, you never know, Hah!

I love the sound of making muzzle loading flintlocks. I think those are some of the coolest guns around. I've played with percussions but always wanted a flinter, whole different ball game. Course a nice not store bought percussion gun would be cool too.
Round these parts right now a guy can't even find black powder or Pyrodex, others must be stocking up too.

I'm told that you must have thirty postings in order to post pictures, an odd requirement seems to me. If i get to that point I'll post some pictures Bawanna. Eye candy for the soul of America.

Welcome. I hope you’ll like it here. If you keep a few things straight you’ll be fine:

    1. Greg fixes all our malfunctions

    2. The Colonel is worthy of our salute

    3. No one needs more than a 380 with a six round magazine

    PS Plastic bad, steel good

muggsy: Let's face it, being shot by a .380 will ruin anyone's day.

I haven’t been to your beautiful state since my family drove through the Hudson River Valley in 1950 to visit Dad’s friend, an instructor at West Point.
    Welcome to Kahrtalk.

The only flint experience I have is with my inexpensive Tower pistol reproduction bought new 55 years ago. Fired it a few times before overcharging it enough to break the mainspring and crack the stock grip. It now serves as a decoration in my man cave.

I never been east of the big muddy myself. Probably never will. Would like to see some of the historical stuff, Gettysburg, some of the stuff around the swamp there, Lincoln memorial if they don't tear it down soon. Pictures I guess are good enough I guess.
I sent you a private message Robin, I have patience issues and need some eye candy.

I bought a hot rod and Bawanna said, “what no pictures” like I would know how to do something like that, my flip phone I’ve had for 6 years finally gave up the ghost and stopped taking a charge so I chunked it and somehow it was quite a freeing experience being out in the world without constant communication......Who needs it, I’m old and I got around just fine without a cell phone and will again......I was out of town when you came aboard the place so welcome to Kahrtalk Robin 101, you will be right at home here
