    Early/Elite 03/current P9. I don't have access to a current K9. But the first two are shorter in slide and barrel than the P9 by one tenth of an inch, according to my caliper.

    For those using produce as units of measure, I have found that a stick with numbers on it can be helpful, too.

    I had a couple of lemons that came with numbered sticks. They measured in units of frustration & perspiration.

    I have one of the first 1911 K9's. I bought it after a guy on here linked the Gunbroker auction in 2020. I notice the slide serrations are deeper cut than on a later (but still "early") K9.

    I notice the very early K9 has a different-shaped trigger face.
