My Eleanor would be a '63 Split Window 'Vette. They might as well be made of Unobtainium as far as prices of them are now, but that is my definition of a perfect merger of art and automobile.

Mine would be a 1969 Corvette ZL1. It was the most stripped down 'vette ever available as it was made for the track and not the street. Listed at 5 hp less than an L88, cost a couple of thousand more than an L88, and you couldn't get it with a radio or even a heater. In reality, it had an aluminum 427 putting out much more than the L88. Only two, maybe three depending on who you talk to, were ever produced. If, and that's a big IF, one of them ever came up for sale you'd be looking well into the 7 figures easily. You could also get the ZL1 in the 1969 Camaro. I think there were around 20 or so Camaros that had that engine.

That is the car from an old classic car guy movie TWO LANE BLACKTOP that starred one of the Beach Boys and James Taylor.
