We didn’t have a TV until I was 10 years old - no TV stations in Puerto Rico before then.

In the early 70’s we got our first color TV which was a 19 inch RCA XL100 and even though cable hadn’t been thought of yet and we only had 4 channels ABC NBC and CBS and if you were really bored there was PBS but I remember thinking, this is the most incredible thing a person could ever want, what else could there possibly be?…..Now I have a thousand channels with nothing at all to watch, I think things were much more interesting back in those simple times………

If it weren't for ME TV we wouldn't have much at all. Sadly I've seen every episode of MASH, Wagon Train, and Gunsmoke several times.

4 channels on a Sylvania 19” color TV. When cable came along we had that flat rectangular channel changer corded to the set, that you zip back and forth to change channels. If you’re on 3 and want to go up to 36, you move the little bar through all the other channels on the way. Kind of like the address book someone posted earlier.
