    Default P9 Covert?

New to the forum here, but a long time Kahr fan and owner. My EDC guns are a P380 and a PM9.

I recently picked up a used P9. But the grip frame is the same size as my PM9. My first thought was that someone cut the frame down.
I wrote to Kahr and they said it was a Covert. But when I google 'P9 Covert', I see a model with the P9 grip frame and the shorter PM9 slide, which makes more sense to me.
    So what do I have?

    Thanks

    I think it’s called a PM9 Covert.

I think your were right in the first place, somebody cut the frame.

Maybe, but Kahr said my serial # showed it was a Covert. So, why would someone cut the frame, then put a longer slide on? lol
Also, the bottom of the frame looks just like my PM9. If someone cut it, they did a fantastic job.

What does the slide say P9? Lots of folks for awhile were taking the longer slide guns and cutting the frames down so they concealed better. I suppose perhaps they made the covert both ways. Short frame, long slide and long frame short slide. Guess I don't know for sure.

If the frame does look factory and Kahr actually looked it up then David nailed it proper.

From Bud’s Gun Shop. I guess they did call it a P9 Covert.

    Default P9 Covert?

Buds shows the new version with short slide and long grip as both a P9 and a PM9 covert. In any event, they’re unobtanium.

It was the "original" Covert. It had an odd balance to me with the longer slide, but it shot well.
A buddy carried one for years in the 2000's before replacing it with a Shield 45. As I recall he stippled the frame back when stippling Glock frames was a budding home business.
