I can't imagine anyone finding a hideous 10 rd single stack mag in their Kahr to be a good idea. Almost feels like an "inside joke" aimed at the folks who demand more rounds.
I upgraded my CM9 with MagGuts +1 spring kits and have been reasonably satisfied with 7+1 in the gun, 7 more in my pocket and no increase in size of my very nice little CM9. It's been my EDC gun since 2013. HOWEVER...and all that said...due (mostly) to aging eye issues ( I'm in my 70's) I have recently transitioned to a Sig P365X w/ Romeo Red Dot for EDC. The Red Dot was the main reason I went to the Sig. Mine came with 2-12 rd magazines. Carrying 12+1 is all very nice but I would not have put my CM9 back in the box if it had a red dot on it. In other words...Kahr missed the boat, at least with me, by not getting into red dot options.

I don't think the idea is to carry your Kahr with a 10rd mag in it guido, but rather exclusively as a spare. If we ever have the need to reload, holstering and concealment will not be a part of the equation that the longer mag would play into.

I have a red dot on my carbine but have not yet tried one of a pistol. Time will tell. I ain't gettin' any younger either.

I agree with guido an dao. I personally wouldn't bother with a 10 rd Kahr magazine, as I mentioned before your trying to take a handy compact gun and make it big. If I felt the need I'd carry 2 or 3 standard mags. BUT for those who feel the need having the 10 rounder as a spare is a good thing.

Sometimes it's just necessary as in guido's case to move away due to his need. His eyesight makes it a need not a desire and one I share. Again a red dot doesn't help the small compact scenario.

The firearm and defense industry certainly isn't a one pony show, more options now than ever before. Find what blows your dress up and run with it. In many cases one gun ain't nearly enough to please some of us and that in my feeble opinion is perfectly ok too.

And old school me still carrying over a hundred year old design on my belt every waking moment, I need to do some catching up I guess.

My Cm9 has MagGuts too and it’s enough. Thinness does matter. No other semi pocket carries as well, which means I don’t leave it at home.

I agree Dao. The ten rd would obviously be for “ backup” and at that point… we’re waaayyy past being concerned about appeance or concealment. On the red dot… I’ve used them very successfully on a hunting handgun ( a T/C) and on my .458 Win mag Elephant/Buffalo rifle. I’ve never liked scoped handguns. When my vision deteriorated I stopped handgun hunting. At that point in history there weren’t any handgun red dots readily available. When I did get one ( the Leupold/Gilmore) it went on one of my T/C barrels and like magic …. I was back in business.

I have a 10'' 30-30 Contender, lots of fun and really accurate even out to a 100 yards. I wish sometimes it was a 14''. I used to handload a ton for it trying to get it better but 10'' barrel just isn't enough.

That's a 10" .41 mag. I load with 200 gn bullets and relatively fast powders. It will shoot ragged one hole groups off a rest out to 50 yds, which is about as far as I have ever needed to go where I hunt. In my younger years I was one of the very early fans of J.D. Jones' "wildcat" rounds. I had him build a .375JDJ for me with 14" bbl and iron sights. Picked it up at his home, where his SSK Ind. was operating out if his basement. Took it to Africa on a "handguns Only" hunt and did quite well. Years went by,the eyes . I tried putting a small 2.5x scope on it using J.D.'s "TSB" mount. It worked as advertised...no issues but I just didn't like shooting a handgun with a scope. I sold the barrel, dies, components..( the whole pkg) to a gentleman in Colorado who took an Elk and a Mule Deer with it, on the same trip.

IMHO, sometimes you "outgrow" or "outage" your carry firearms. I believe that hanging all sorts of stuff on your carry firearm defeats the purpose. I went to a revolver for carry, to make things less complicated. My eyes aren't getting any younger either, but with the right sights, you'll be good. If you can hit a torso, you're good. If I want more firepower/rounds, I have to go to a larger firearm, still in the compact range. Between grip strength, eyesight, maintenance, etc. I had to change my carry firearm, keeping it small, and simple. I'd like to see Kahr make a revolver. They already have the trigger.........................................

I was a JD Jones fan too, also PO Ackerly. Never did run any of his stuff. I did do a PO Ackerly Triplex reload in a 45 Colt Ruger revolver. Figured if it worked in his carbine a tough ole Ruger should handle it. Just to be safe I propped the gun on a log, put a couple bags of shotgun lead shot on top to hold it. Tied a string to the trigger and got behind a big rock about 25 yards away.
Hell of a boom, busted both bag of shot open, shot all over the place. BUT the gun was intact. Me an my buddy argued who got to shoot it first. Sadly the cylinder wouldn't rotate, bulged it which is probably a good thing as who knows what a second shot would have done. I sent it to Ruger after accidently talking to Bill Ruger himself, he answer the phone, I was in awe.
Told him what I'd done and he said send it in he would take care of it.
Replaced the cylinder, refinished the whole well worn gun, sent it back in a factory new box, looked brand new. NO CHARGE. There was a note indicating it wasn't their fault and felt it was some sort of over load. Awe to be young again.

Not sure I'd trust an inline 10 round mag to be completely reliable. But I'd like to give it a try. If it proves to be problem free, I'd carry it as a reload. Not like I'm going to rush out and buy one just to have a couple more rounds though.

Mag capacity in the Kahrs is still not an issue to me. At some point, I think it would be great if I could go with a MRDS on the Kahr, and I will be making that happen after getting past some other expenses this year. Seems like Kahr should be doing something about that.
