    Default P380 Guide Rod Question Carbon VS Steel

    I saw a P380 with what looks to be a carbon fiber Guide Rod , does anybody have any experience or have any info for the Factory Steel vs Carbon much appreciated

    I went with the stainless steel version because I kept getting rust with the steel one and it would spread and get messy. No problems with the SS offered by Kahr. I also got the special striker while upgrading my 2009/2010 P380.

    I went SS also. Keep it polished bright and lightly oiled and seems to work great. I also got the SS striker guide which was just for fun. Dan

    I think the OP was referring to a carbon fiber guide rod, something I am not familiar with at all. Can't think of any advantage.
