    Default Repurposed Military Crate

Good afternoon. I'm a member of a Texas based WWII Living History group. A couple of years ago I purchased 10 wood military crates. I bought them for storage for some of my WWII field kitchen gear and equipment. This crate was a spare, so I repurposed it last week. It’s now my Thompson transit/display crate. The only thing left, is stenciling the outside with the correct period markings. It's far from museum quality, but it will serve well for as a camp display.

That is incredibly nice in my opinion. Love everything about it. Love the use of canvas for straps. Very well done. Excellent attention to detail.

Nice. I could see myself taking that crate with the Tommy gun in it and putting a glass on top to make a coffee table of some type sort of as a display. How cool would that be?
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

That's a fine idea right there. That would be a great center piece to a proper man cave.
