Tried various 135, 155, 165 and 180 JHPs in my MK40 Elite.
My personal experience is that guns are like girls.
They are unique.
My particular gun just loves anything in 180 grain

BTW, the new K40, has the old style slide stop, guess it has been sitting on the shelf awhile. Matches my K9, and also my preferred version. I think it is more robust than the new style.

Okay, a few pics of the K40, cleaned, lubed, ready to roll. Just finished adding my traditional skate board tape to the front strap. Has the rubber Hogue grips, not the hard plastic that's on my MK9. The grip screws are almost indexed.

I like your choices for carry. We kind of think alike, but I do the opposite. I EDC my SP101 .357, and my HK .40 in cooler months.

I have a couple of HKs too, but I perfer all steel frame pistols ... You have a VP9, USP, or what?

P2000SK in .40 cal. Wouldn't mind having a P2000 and a P30SK, but prices got and stayed ugly.
