Default K Series Elite In DLC Or Black?

I've got a really bad Kahr itch right now and I'm looking for a K40 Elite. Does anyone own a black K40 Elite or know if one came from the factory that way? I found a few online but it's not a shop I have ever heard of. I'm concerned that might be a scam site.

I have a PM9 and a PM45, both in DLC, cost a tad more for the DLC option. I have never seen, one of the all metal ones in DLC. Perhaps it was coated by a third party.

By DLC do you mean diamond like coating? If so, I don't think they're rare. My PM9 is all black, and I've lusted after many PM45's in all black but have yet to pull the trigger on that want.

I purchased my black K9 new about five years ago, in 2018. Its finish is DLC (i'm almost sure). At the time I had contemplated purchasing a black K40 (in DLC, too), instead. DLC didn't seem to be uncommon at that time.

The website is a scam... it only takes bitcoin for payment.

Two K9's that I own. Top one of 7/1995 manufacture and the bottom one from 4/2014.

That top one is blued carbon steel, isn't it? My recollection is that all the first ones were that, and then the e-nickel, and the DLC on stainless came much later.

Probably so, it has the early frame, flat all the way. No contours like the second one. Both excellent guns.

You're probably right. That one's box did not have a label on it. The bottom gun's label says Diamond Black Finish on it.
