Kahr CM9 Trigger Question
I just picked up my second used CM9. On this one, SN IP58XX, the trigger has to be pinned all the way to the rear to release the stiker. It feels totally different than my first CM9 which releases the striker much earlier during the trigger stoke. Before I tear into it, I would like to hear the thoughts of folks with more experience with this particular firearm. Thank you!

That's peculiar. The trigger on my CM9 is actually better than that on my P9. It's almost on par with my Elite 03 K9. There seems to be some inconsistency with the triggers. Sounds like your CM9 trigger is more like that on my pre-Elite K9.

You might check a few things.:
This is probably a long shot, but as I'd rather pull the slide's rear plate before messing with the frame and that you have two CM9s, I'd swap strikers to see if that makes any difference.
Alternately, go straight to the frame:
Check that the trigger bar is resetting to it's complete height:

That is great info, thanks! Just to keep you in the loop, I called Kahr and spoke to Mark, one of their gunsmiths. He said it was likely a "trigger fitment" issue. He also tracked the born on date of my CM9 to a 2012 date of manufacture. My gun is way out of warranty and the 2-way shipping and mandatory .5 hour labor that Kahr charges would have exceeded the purchase price I paid for the gun. After sifting through YouTube University for awhile, it seems this is a pretty common issue. The common fix is to remove material from the flat surface of the upper right side of the trigger where it contacts the frame, allowing more rearward travel of the trigger during firing. I have the frame completely disassembled. I decided to replace all the springs while I had the frame completely torn down. I am waiting for those to show up from Kahr. I will let you know the results when I get everything back together. I will also post up some pics as soon as I am allowed to add attachments. Thanks again for the help!

FOLLOW UP-The CM9 is back together and the trigger feels great! I removed .015" from the flat face on the right side of the trigger. I replaced all of the springs in the frame with the exception of the magazine catch spring while I had the frame completely torn down. The disassembly was very simple. The reassembly was also simple with the exception of installing the trigger spring and trigger spacer. This took me several attempts. I will put some pics up when I am allowed to post attachments. These really are amazing little handguns.
