A question for the hive. I recently purchased a .357 barrel and mags for my Mk XIX .50AE IMI manufactured DE. The barrel fits fine but the issue is with the slide and the .357 magazine. The notch on the spine of the magazine is not wide enough to allow the slide to go into battery. In comparison to the .44 and .50 mags, this notch is much narrower. The mag binds on the ramp on the underside of the slide. Anyone else have this problem and what was done to resolve this? Will contact Magnum Research tomorrow to see if they have a solution. I am assuming the slide ramp width would have to be made narrower to allow the slide ramp to pass through the notch in the spine of the magazine. Seems odd that they would not take this into account.
