Default Tech Sights for Ruger 10/22

I’ve had a Ruger 10/22 Takedown that I bought not long after they started making them. The factory sights were sad to say the least and couldn’t be adjusted enough to correct the elevation. It shot 3 inches high at 25 yards with CCI standard velocity and worse than that with Mini mags. Never could get a scope I liked set up on it and that kinda defeated the purpose of the takedown anyway. It sat in the safe for a long time until recently when I ran across “Tech Sights” for a 10/22 that had good reviews, and a good price.

So, I ordered a set and got them installed. They seemed pretty nice and are made from aluminum. Took it to the range today and got them zeroed with less than 15 rounds shooting 3 shot groups. Now I can shoot 1 inch groups or better at 25 yards with irons, which is good for my old eyes and shaking hands. It has a second aperture that flips up that I’m thinking will work at 50 yards (the apertures are supposed to be for 50 and 100 yards but I can’t see that good at 100 any more.

I would recommend them if someone needs a sight upgrade. They look like the picture below:

The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

    Very interesting.
I might consider those for my old 1977 standard 10/22.
Also have been thinking about a takedown with threaded muzzle.

Those look great! I put a heavy barrel on mine but might ponder those for the standard barrel. Always looking for old 10/22 wood stocks to doll up.

I put the TECH SIGHTS on my Mini 14. I like them a lot.

They make an adapter for .920 dia. barrels: https://www.tech-sights.com/product/...etail-adaptor/
I've seen photos of them on some Project Appleseed builds:

I think the Tech Sight setup is good to go, but one of my 10-22s is scoped and the other has a Williams peep sight on it. I like both the way they are

Wonder how that adaptor is attached? I can't find any pictures of it from the back.

Found a review that said it just required loctite. So just a forced fit. Fella said it has worked well for several years and didn't move. Might be cool.

That's how .22 barrel liners are done now.

My 10/22 has Tech Sites, they’re all it’ll ever need. Unless my eyesight really turns to crap.

Believe I might have to give them a try. Looked them up and the price seems pretty good to me.

Ditto for me AJ. They look good. Trying to use restraint but I know I won't hold out for long.
