A lot of companies, especially high end ones (and Colt on their Defenders), seem to be gearing toward a thinner muzzle with a break between 3/4" or 1" back from it where the full width of the slide is narrowed. The Kahr version of that is not nearly as drastic, with the bevel starting between 3/16" and 3/8" back and then tapering to the muzzle. I prefer the blunt nose myself, but I really don't mind my newer style PM45 because it's one that starts nearly at the muzzle with its taper.
I have the same taste. It’s why I like the looks of the C model Kahr’s more than the P models. It’s what also drew me to some of the full “dust cover” or fully railed 1911’s in the past. Some that I wish I still had.
