You’re not supposed to be using the slide stop to pull nails.

Can't say for sure but bet if you emailed that picture to Kahr, they might just send you a new one. Can't hurt to try. I've never seen that happen before neither.

Wow! First time for everything. That looks like a violent reaction.

I agree. In all 9f the decades the steel frame Kahr series have been produced, I've never seen or heard of that happening even once. It appears that some unnatural stress has been put on it.

That's exactly what it mimics and looks like.

Not at all. It was very non violent. I was shooting and it just literally, plopped on my right thumb. Never even hit the ground. I looked at it and thought “Where the hell did that come from?” I thought it was the extractor. No. Then noticed what it was.

The grain structure seems crystalline. It looks like sand. I’m thinking bad casting. It’s a one piece slide stop. MIM or investment cast, I’m sure. As I recall, my other Kahrs has the pivoting pin slide stops.

I bought the gun used. It’s an older gun. BF11XX. It hasn’t had many rounds fired through it as far as I can tell.

Should have a new one on its way. No charge.

Aftermarket machined pieces would be nice to replace all the stock mim parts. Even if Kahr produced and sold them.
