The secret’s out!
Man of steel - Kahr T9, SP101
He's right.
But to me, if one existed, a striker fired whose trigger that was somehow close to being indistinguishable from a 1911 trigger, and also had a sweep down manual safety on it would reign supreme.
I’m so glad that debate has finally been settled.
muggsy: Let's face it, being shot by a .380 will ruin anyone's day.
If I wanted a all steel, compact single stack, 9mm, striker fired pistol with a great trigger, it would be a HK P7. Compares more closely to a T9 but that's pretty much a moot point.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.
I've hear the 2.0 trigger is better (a lot better), than the first gen. But I've never before heard someone say it is close to a 1911. Have yet to hold one. Is your statement based on a manual safety model? Don't know if that makes a difference in the M&P world, but it might.
Agreed. There is no other handgun that is indistinguishable to a 1911. The Para Ordnance LDA might be the closest thing. It's a nothing long pull, like a Kahr up to a wall where it becomes a 1911. It has the down swept safety too.
I have 3, well actually 2 now, I gave my youngest son my favorite for graduation. When working none of the officer much cared for it, thought it was strange, maybe kind of like people who don't like the Kahr?
In Memory of Paul "Dietrich" Stines.
Dad: Say something nice to your cousin Shirley
Dietrich: For a fat girl you sure don't sweat much.
Cue sound of Head slap.
RIP Muggsy & TMan

The closest thing to a 1911 trigger, that I have personally fired, is the CZ Shadow II. 3.5 pounds, short and sweet. The Sig Legion is supposed to be close also, but have never fired one. (None are striker fired)
