1907 Savage Self Loading Pistol in .32ACP;
Came with the old holster the gentleman used to carry it with< WAY back when Zoot Shooting wasn't an anachronism, LOL!
Having only dabbled in antique and historical firearms, I have found a few resources for locating some interesting pieces. You gentlemen may already know of some of these.

That notch in the rail is supposed to be there
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
--Thomas Jefferson (1764).
That is a fine pistol! Congrats!

Anyone else think this is worthy of a **** TRACY villain?
(Oh fer cryin' out loud, seriously? Ok - Detective RICHARD TRACY)
XTriggerman's posted his build threads on FALFILES and Gunboards. I think he did a commendable job of a 9mm diesel-punkish retro weapon. None of the tech seems beyond the pale of comprehension for that era.
(And yes, I left a trail of breadcrumbs for the builder to come visit this thread)

Gez Story, ya found every pic and thought i posted on that build! ol Rick Tracy would be proud....
The seed of this must have been planted back in 82 when I converted 6 FA 1928 Tommies to fire blanks. A Cal. movie prop outfit requested the build from Thompson/West Hurley NY back when I was employed there. Interesting blanks they use for those movie guns. They are 308 caseings heavily crimped to a 45ACP configuration with a compressed black powder charge. The guns were supposed to be used in Scarface and from closely watching the Tommies run in Johnny Depp's Public Enemy movie, im sure those BP firing guns made a showing there also. You can tell from the huge fireballs/smoke that would rip from the blanks.:53: Those blank gun were far more wicked to fire than the real thing! Seems a long time ago....
Thanks for your interest in my tinkering.
mmmmmmm, cupcakes!
