Here’s my current 1911 gathering. Lower left is my current “project” that is half sanded for polishing. Going to put a trigger and sights on it too. So much to do still! : )

Your ok, that's normal. So many guns, so little time/money.

I mostly prefer short triggers on my 1911-A1ish pistols, but there are exceptions. I've have been playing with a longer trigger on my Kimber Target.
I also went with some thicker grips on it. These grips break from traditional style a tiny bit. So far, it's not a bad feel.

    Greg

You better break out the chainsaw file and make a notch for the mag release. I've done that before several times. Fortunately I caught it before I sent them off.

I've often thought of making some similar to that, just to be unique and different but I see somebody done beat me to it.

I did make a set where the wood came around the front down near the mag well. Forcing a high hand hold. Felt great. Tough to make and with wood I'm not sure how durable they would be. I made them for somebody here a few years back, can't remember now.
I started to make myself a set, I'll have to check the drawer and see if I still got them.
