All right, here's another mag spring question.
Here's a pic of 2 mag springs from 7 rd 9mm mags...one came with a pm9 and the other from a cw9.
One is 1/2 coil longer than the other.
Thoughts.

The bottom one is what I usually encounter and would expect. This is what I based my "It's wrong" answer earlier.
Perhaps they determined the spring was too strong and shortened it 1/2 a coil?
The bottom one makes good sense to me. The top not so much but I suspect if the top is correct the bottom really doesn't make that much difference either.

Thanks, Greg. This picture, and the added instructions was what was needed to clarify this situation. There has been a ton of questions, lately about spring orientation, and this picture says it all. You sir, are a credit to this forum, and I do appreciate your input...Thanks to you and all the others, as well.. What a place...Mike

Thanks for the kind words MiKe.

Seriously, someone needs to address the QC problems at Kahr. I've never seen another firearm with so many issues. It's a shame, because once you finally get them running properly they are great guns.

You think we got problems, go over to glocktalk and listen to the g19 gen 4 probs.
And thanks to all the posts here, it clears up the mag spring orientation question that comes up so often.

holy cow - made in china or what?
... i've had some fatigue cracks in my PM45 mags - they're en route to Kahr right now in fact. maybe if the springs were in backward they would've lasted a little longer.
freakin' amazing how sloppy the quality control on these magazines is - my company wouldn't last a month if we functioned that poorly.

This is why I don't mess with my magazines...just another thing that can go wrong (meaning I might mess them up) and if it's been fine-I don't mess with it...JMHO...
I just had a mag delivered to my home yesterday for my PM9 I will be picking up, I did open the mag to add a grip extension a friend mailed me, however, after looking at that orientation image, I am near certain mine was sent backwards, I will have to check tonight when I get home, but mine looked like the OP's.
Ill post back when I get a chance to look later.
Thanks for the excellent image!
